Installation and network adminstration rights
Can I re-install over the top of an old installation? Yes, you can however it does not overwrite the categories and messages that are there already (which means you don't lose them). Click on the Options button and select to reset everything to the default settings to clear them all.
I am not able to run installation programs on my computer, how can I use the software?

Make sure that you administrative rights on your computer - you may need to switch to "Administrator Mode" in Windows Vista before installing it.

There is a way to run the software on your computer without "installing" it: Most computers with Windows Vista, Windows XP or above do not need you to "install" the software and all you need is the executable file that will run without a special installation and then you can create some shortcuts to it. See this part of the installation page.

Do I need to have administrative rights on my computer to run it? No, but you do need to have permission to read and write to the folder where the program is located so that you can save your own messages. However you normally need administrative rights to install it.
Do I need to change my firewall to allow the software to access the internet? The software does not access the internet to work (and so does not contain spyware). The only use of the internet with the software is to automatically open the help page or the purchase page of this website. If you want, you can block all access to the internet by the software and open up these pages yourself manually.
I am a network administrator, how can I set up the software so that only one person can create and edit the messages and everyone just uses them? Contact us regarding setting this up.
How do I reset all the categories and messages? Click on the Options button and select to reset everything to the default settings to clear them all.

Un-install Reply Wizard
How do I un-install the software? Go to your windows control panel (Start>Control Panel) and run the "Program and Features" icon (or "Add/Remove Programs") and select Reply Wizard to be uninstalled/removed.
(If you installed the software manually then just delete the shortcuts and the folder where the file was saved.)
I have some files left after the installation? Just delete the folder where the file was saved. The files are ones that were created after the program was installed.

Product Activation
What is the difference in functionality between the trial version and the full version of Reply Wizard? Nothing.
How do I unlock the software after the 14 day trial? You should purchase the software and send us the Identity Code so that we can send you the correct password to unlock it. Click on the Options button and select to see the Identity Code.
Where do I find the Identity Code to send you? Click on the Options button in the software and select to see the Identity Code.
Who do I send the Identity Code to? Send it to us by email at    Please remember to give your full name, address, Identity Code, name of the software purchased and order number when you email us.
My software says that it is out of date You should purchase the software and send us the Identity Code so that we can send you the correct password to unlock it. Click on the Options button and select to see the Identity Code.
My software says that it is out of date but I have only just started using it. The copy-protection system is sensitive to date changes and has kicked in early because of it. Backup
How do I backup the software? You can save the entire folder with the software on to a CD or memory card/flash disk to back it and the messages/categories up and copy them back to your computer at a later date.
How do I move the software and all the messages to a new computer? First install the software on the new computer. Save the entire folder with the software (normally C:\Program Files\Reply Wizard\) on to a CD or memory card/flash disk to back it and the messages/categories up and copy them to your new computer in the same folder as you have just installed the software.

Updating

How much does it cost to get updates of the software? We have never yet charged for updates to our software in ten years. We reserve the right to in the future but have no plans to at all.
How do I get updates? Just reinstall the software over the top of the existing software, overwriting the old version. You will not lose your own categories and messages.
How do I know what version of the software I have? Click on the Options button and select to see the version of the software you are using.

Not-for-profit Organisations
Do you give discount for non-for-profit organisations? Yes, we give a 50% discount but you will need to provide evidence of your organisations right to the discount first. Please send all details and the quantity of users to us at

Licencing per computer/user
Is the licence for one computer or for one person? I licence covers you to use the software EITHER on (1) one computer used by multiple people OR (2) two computers used by the same person. Multi-user discounts are available.
We are a large organisation and would like to install the software on many computers. How do we find out about group licences? Contact us at and tell us how many people you want a licence for.
